Today was the
last day of normal activities of this
session, and of this summer; the next normal
day won’t be for roughly 300 days!!!
Tomorrow is Special day and those of you who
have been to camp before will know that the
schedule tomorrow is completely different!
The day starts with a skit/performance by
the counselors and staff, then the Seniors w ill
go to the pool with the Nine’s, and the rest
of the campers will spend the morning
playing games on the main field. After the
barbeque lunch that we eat outside, the
carnival begins!! It lasts until half two,
when parents arrive and the performances
begin. Unfortunately there is a
chance that it might rain tomorrow but even
if it does I’m sure that all the hard work
and preparation that has gone into it will
make this last day of Camp very Special.
Today was
another great day, there weren’t as many
excursion so camp was very busy, the nine
year olds went to the Olympic Museum in
Lausanne for the day and watched some
footage of past Olympic finals, went to see
all the exhibits and then went on a
scavenger hunt!!
The
weather was a bit chilly for the outdoor
pool in Nyon today so the groups went
instead to the pool in Geneva. There were
also groups that went up to Signal de Bougy,
unfortunately the baker has gone on holidays
so they weren’t able to make the lovely
brioche, but they were able to visit the
giant pig in the petting zoo and also the
fairies. Two of the other Senior groups went
bowling for the afternoon, and everyone
seemed to have enjoyed themselves.
We hope to see
many of you tomorrow for the performances;
they will be great fun so do please try to
come, it has the potential to be a fantastic
ending to what has been a wonderful summer!

Panda
Amir Ibrahim,
or ‘Panda’ as he is affectionately known
here at Village Camps, is this session's
counselor for the SA3 group.
Hailing from
Malaysia, this is Panda’s first year with us
at Village Camps and he is already a hit
favourite with the campers!
He just
graduated from his course in Leisure
Business Management from Manchester
Metropolitan University and plans to work
with children as a sports coach in the
future.
Panda plays
tennis, football, basketball and badminton,
but due a knee injury has been unable to
compete at any serious level for about a
year now. This, however, hasn’t
stopped him giving our seniors a run for
their money on the sports field!
