Rain, rain, go away
Come again some other day
We want to go outside and play
Come again some other day

Unfortunately the weather seems to have turned on us, today was much worse than yesterday and many of our groups were forced inside or to alternate excursions because of the rain. The Eight year olds, who were supposed to go to Nyon Piscine today, went instead to the indoor pool in Geneva, and the four year olds, who were supposed to go in the afternoon, went to the Natural History Museum to visit Alan, the two headed turtle.

The Five’s went to Signal de Bougy all day where they made lovely loaves of brioche bread in the shape of various monsters. In the afternoon they visited the visited the petting zoo to see the goats, horses, rabbits, and of course, the incredibly large pig and his equally overweight pig wife and mini-pigs. Apparently there was a successful sighting of the Signal Fairies- this is the first sighting all summer and I suspect it was the cooler weather that tempted them to come out of their hiding places.

The Seniors We also had two groups of Seniors go to the Olympic Museum in Lausanne today. They were greeted by a guide from the museum, they spent an hour or so watching videos on past Olympic events, and then spent the rest of the day visiting the exhibitions and doing a scavenger hunt throughout the Museum. I think it turned out to be much better then the proposed Jura Hike, which they were supposed to go on, would have been. Hopefully these clouds will clear up soon but the weather for the rest of the week is predicted to be much the same as today, so parents please ensure that your children have raingear with them for the next few days.
