It was hectic, chaotic, a little bit crazy, it was also over much too soon: It was Special Day!! The second session of the summer has come and gone, it was a huge success- as was today. The weather had us a little worried in the morning but in the end it turned out to be a lovely day, the skit in the morning by the counselors turned out to be a huge success, and the senior groups then went off to the pool at Nyon for the morning and the intermediates and the mini campers stayed on the main field playing games organized by our specialists.

All the campers had a barbeque lunch sitting in the shade on the grass, on the steps or benches, after which the afternoon carnival kicked off. The theme this session was ‘fairytales’ and provided lots of inspiration for some really amusing games, we had a crossing-beneath-the-Drawbridge-limbo event, a Pin the Crown on the King game, and a ‘Mirror Mirror on the wall’ backwards relay race.

The dances and performances were a big success. The performances were followed by ice creams for all, and then the second session unfortunately came to an end. This day of the session is always bitter-sweet; it’s often the most fun day of the session, but it’s also the last day so many campers as well as some staff will be leaving. For those campers who are coming back and any new campers who might be reading this- hope you all have a restful and enjoyable weekend and we shall see you on Monday!!

Bon Weekend!!
