Thursday the 26th and unbelievably the first week of the second session is almost over- it seems to have just flown by! I guess we must be having fun…

The Mini campers had a fairly busy day - the six year olds went off to Signal de Bougy this morning and stayed for the day, making the trip to the petting zoo and the playground, as well as the huge park and the secret garden of fairies. They also stopped by the Boulangerie this morning to bake their own Brioche bread loafs, which normally end up being the shape of superheroes, dinosaurs or wild animals! (I was lucky enough to have a bit of the bread they made this morning and, as always, it was excellent!)

The Five’s headed off to the Nyon Piscine this morning and had ideal weather conditions for some sunbathing and swimming, not to mention volleyball, table tennis and football, all of which can be played at the Nyon Piscine because of the brilliant lay out and space that there is.  The Seven’s went to the pool after lunch (beef macaroni and cheese) and the Nine year olds spent the afternoon at Gland, perfecting their bowling skills, and undoubtedly they won and made their counselors look bad again…

The Seniors had a relaxed day of boomerang construction up at the top field here on Campus. They spend all day doing the activity, and although they do not construct the boomerangs from scratch, they do paint and decorate them, as well as learning the correct techniques to throw and catch them. I won’t lie- it is very difficult and initially the results were disastrous, but they got the hang of it very quickly and by the end of the first hour nearly all the boomerangs were flying in a circle and coming back to their owners.

All in all it was another very successful day at camp and we’re are just hoping that the weather holds out and next week is as pleasant as this week and that campers and staff alike have as much fun as we have had up to now.

We do have some spaces available for next week and also in session three starting on August 6th , please call Andrea at 022 776 33 33 if you would like more information.
