Special Day!!
This is always a bitter-sweet day since it
is a rguably
the most enjoyable day of camp but also the
last day of the session. Today was no
exception, thankfully the weather was
beautiful all day and there was no need to
re-locate inside like last year. There was a
bit of panic this morning, there was quite
a bit of competition between the surfers and
pirates, both of whom were searching for the
hidden treasure! Unfortunately Dark
Destroyer snatched it away before either
group could find it and the campers spent
the rest of the day playing games in an
effort to win back the treasure!
Following
the counselors' skit, the Seniors went off
to Nyon Pool for the morning, and the
intermediates and minis played games up on
the main field for a few hours. Then all the
campers had a barbeque lunch of hamburgers
and salad, and soon after the afternoon
Carnival kicked-off. All the games seemed
to be big successes, especially the ones
involving water, and it was awhile before
all the campers were organized and ready for
the Drama, Dance and Music performances.
Those too were a success, the stranded
surfers and pirat es
eventually managing to get away with the
treasure.
The
performances were followed by well deserved
ice-creams, and then the first session came
to a close at about four o’clock, when the
campers went home, many of them are
returning for the second session, but for
all of you who are not coming back, we hope
you enjoyed your experience with us here at
Village day camps, and we hope to see you
next year. Have a nice summer!!
