Today was quite a quiet day here at the Village Camps campus since there were so many excursions, all of the intermediate groups went off-campus at some point, and the Seniors and 6 year olds also went on different field trips during the day. The Nine year olds had a terribly busy day that they have all been dreading for the past week- swimming in the morning and bowling in the afternoon, I tell you- it must be hard being a nine year old a Village Camps…

The eight year olds were also swimming today, but they went in the afternoon and have since been the envy of everybody else who had no escape from the heat!! I almost wish it would rain again… Meanwhile the seven year olds spent the afternoon in Trelex, running through the forest searching for fairies and building them little houses out of flowers and twigs, at least that was the plan, some of the fairies now enjoy the protection of multi-tiered fortresses or castles.

Some of the Seniors went sailing at Lac de Divonne this morning, and the others spent the day at the Olympic museum in Lausanne, the kind and helpful staff at the museum provided a short video and presentation and then the groups spent the remainder of their time visiting all of the exhibits.

Field trips aside, all of the groups have been working hard in Drama and Dance preparing their performances for Special day, no further information is available because it would spoil the surprise, but sufficed to say it will, like every other special day, be a day to remember and all of the campers and the Staff are looking forward to seeing the parents there.  Fingers crossed that the weather holds out!!
