The last day of the first session and
although many people were looking forward to the weekend, it was an
excellent day at Village Camps. It was another d ay
of wonderful weather and the Seven year olds and one of our senior
groups were able to take full advantage by spending the morning
relaxing by Nyon pool, and another senior group, SA1, went to the
lac de Divonne in the afternoon for some windsurfing. Tough life
huh?
The nine year olds headed up to Signal to Bougy for the morning and
then headed to Trelex forest to play some blind-folded hide and seek
and to build huts for the forest dwarfs, and the five year olds also
took advantage of the good weather and in the
morning
took the boat from Coppet Port to Nyon, where they stayed for awhile
at the playground right beside the lake.
One of our activities this summer is pottery, and several of the
groups that decorated their small clay dogs over the course of the
week will be getting their glazed and finished product this
afternoon and will be able to take them home with them-there are
really some incredible and interesting looking dogs in this first
batch!
Apart from the
rather w et
start, this has been a great first week, so thanks to all for
helping make it so successful, and we’ll see you all in a few days.
Parents, please keep in mind that it is supposed to be very hot for
the first few days of next week so please make sure that your
children have sun cream, a hat and some water with them on Monday.
Bon Weekend a tous!!

Livia
Livia Fu is our resident
nurse at Village Camps this year, and we are very lucky
to have someone with so much experience, not only in
healthcare, but also with children.
She is currently a
registered nurse in Ontario and is doing a Masters of
Nursing at the University of Toronto, specializing in
clinical nursing. She graduated as class valedictorian
from Queens University in Kingston, and has since worked
on healthy living workplace initiatives, developing care
plans for patients with respiratory diseases, and with
the 'HA HA' Unit, incorporating humor with medical and
physiological treatment in hospitals.
Livia enjoys ‘soccer’ and
travelling, and before arriving in Geneva for camp, she
spent time in Morocco, Spain and Portugal!
