Ever since Father Christmas disappeared to wherever he goes, our own children have been talking about camp with greater frequency, and as the weeks have gone by l am sure it has been the same for many parents, especially now that the summer holiday has arrived.

At our new location we are ready as ever for the summer of 2007 and are just as excited as the campers.  It is a real pleasure for us to see so many campers from previous years joining us once again, and graduating to older age groups.  It is also a pleasure to work with many of the staff from last year; campers will recognise many of the counsellors but look out for a new look Papa Bear!

Summer Camp gives children the opportunity to interact and make friends with children they would not otherwise meet. Indeed, camp is a place where long lasting friendships are often initiated.  With the internet l know that many of our campers have remained in contact with each other during the rest of the year.  Camp is a place to try new games, sports, arts and crafts, music and more.  Camp gives children the chance to develop independence and grow in a caring, safe environment and this is what the counsellor team will endeavour to provide every day of camp.

Check out this website for daily updates and photos of the activities, we hope it will give each of you an insight to life at camp.  Rain or shine, with the beginning of camp today, summer has truly started.  Welcome!

Best regards,

Nick Tranter
